Building Works Update - DHB & Garden Mills
Over the summer, Bradford College has been busy working on several multi-million-pound projects that will greatly improve the student experience.
We’re really excited that our new £3.5m T Level facilities are nearly ready. These include a new commercial and training barbering salon, nail bar, lecture spaces, TV studio, enhanced media editing and recording studios, and a remodel of The Grove training restaurant.
We’re also nearly ready to open our Garden Mills building on Thornton Road. An extensive £6.9m refurbishment programme has converted the derelict building into a phenomenal modern science and technology facility for our higher-level/degree students.
However, please note that building work will need to continue for several weeks after the start of term while this fit-out work finishes. This may mean a little disruption in the David Hockney Building with noise and temporary classroom timetabling, and a delayed move into Garden Mills for some students.
We apologise for any disturbance while this construction work is completed, but please be assured that our contractors are working hard to keep this to a minimum and finish the projects as soon as possible. Please speak to your curriculum area if you have any concerns.
Thank you for your patience while we complete these transformative projects. We look forward to opening these impressive new facilities very soon. We’re sure you’ll love them!
