| Following on from Readiness for Direct Practice 1, this module will provide you with an understanding of the social work role outlined in the professional standards. You will demonstrate the development of skills used in communication, observation, and reflection, and relating theory and practice. You will be able to demonstrate the importance of professional behaviour and boundaries, awareness of values and diversity in social work, an initial awareness of risk and safeguarding, the role of professional supervision, and the importance of emotional resilience in social work. You will develop your self-awareness and skills of reflection on your learning and experiences through individual activities and class discussions. You will be guided to identify your individual learning needs and monitor and reflect on your own progress. |
